The interview is the story. We know how to get it.

JCV Creative produces and shoots documentary-style video for brands, healthcare and nonprofits: patient stories, expert profiles, brand films and the b-roll that holds them together. Based in St. Louis, on location wherever the story is.

What we make

Patient & customer stories. The person whose life changed, in their own words, in the places that matter to them.

Expert & leadership profiles. Scientists, engineers and executives who are brilliant at the work and new to the camera.

Brand & nonprofit films. The why behind the organization, told through the people who live it.

Field production & crew hire. A seasoned producer-shooter with a full FX6 package, booked by the day.

Why it feels different

We do the homework. Before an interview we read the bios, the nomination letters, the patents. The follow-up questions show we know their work, and the answers sound like a person, not a press release.

Nobody gets a script. We don't send questions ahead. Rehearsed answers sound rehearsed, so we keep it a conversation.

Built for real places. Labs, offices, gowned-up manufacturing floors and living rooms. Small footprint, fast setup, out of the way.

How a project runs

  1. Discovery call. Goals, audience, where the video will live, and the budget.

  2. Pre-production. Story research, interview prep, locations, schedule and crew.

  3. Shoot day. Interview and b-roll, with a wireless client monitor so you watch live from across the room.

  4. Post. Edit, color, sound, captions, and cuts sized for every platform you'll post to.
